We all want a safer and more peaceful world. By learning about and supporting the work the United Nations does every day, Americans can play an important role in UN activity. The United States was a vital force in creating the United Nations and remains its most influential member. Thus we have a special responsibility to pay attention and ensure those who represent us are doing so in our best interests.

News and activities at the United Nations change on a daily basis. Stay informed about the newest developments and debates by checking out the UN News Centre, recent articles, and opinions and editorials.

Keep Track of Your Representatives
Your elected officials have a lot to say about the United Nations. Find out how they vote on UN issues and what they say about the UN and its activities. Learn about the issues the United Nations faces and make sure your elected officials are representing your best interests.

Talk to Your Friends, Clubs, and Organizations
Bring the conversation to your communities. By talking to colleagues, friends, family, and like-minded citizens, we can expand the debate about the United Nations' role in global security.
