Leveraging |
"Leveraging US Strength in an Uncertain World" is the topic of the Stanley Foundation's first conference on national and global security on December 7, 2006, in Washington, DC.
Today, US national security increasingly relies on regional and international security. This interconnectedness demands multilateral efforts to address critical issues. It also requires the United States to examine how it can best leverage its strength to develop a compelling vision for 21st-century leadership.
The overarching objective of the Stanley Foundation's Conference on National and Global Security is to advance US debate on issues and policy considerations that must be addressed if the United States is to meet the real security challenges of the post-9/11 world while also maintaining its legitimacy in the global arena.
