Colonel Richard A. Lacquement Jr.

Richard A. Lacquement Jr., is a colonel in the US Army. He participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom as a strategist in Army G3, War Plans Division, and in the 101st Airborne Division during operations in Northern Iraq. He also served as an assistant professor of social sciences at the United States Military Academy and as professor of strategy and policy at the US Naval War College. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and has a Ph.D. in international relations from Princeton University. He is the author of Shaping American Military Capabilities After the Cold War (Praeger, 2003) as well as several articles and book chapters on defense transformation in general and transformation for stability operations in particular.
